What makes us one of kind

EXPERIENCE AEROBATIC FLIGHT

Looking to add a little thrill to your ride? Our gentle aerobatics are an amazing way to make your flight unforgettable. Our pilots are highly experienced and skilled giving you the ultimate flight experience possible.

Aerobatic Maneuvers

  • Loop-The pilot pulls the nose up into a vertical climb, flies over the top inverted, and descends back to the starting altitude and heading. It requires high speed, usually ~155 mph, and involves pulling around 3Gs.

  • Aileron Roll-The pilot uses full alieron deflection to roll, typically starting with a slight nose-up pitch to compensate for lift loss during the maneuver. The airplane than completes a 360-degree rotation around its longitudinal (nose-to-tail). This requires a speed usually ~ 140 mph

  • Wing Over- The pilot starts a steep climb, followed by a vertical flat-turn (the plane turns to its side, without rolling, similar to the way a car turns). The maneuver ends with a short dive as the plane gently levels out, flying in the opposite direction from which the maneuver began.

What to expect?

At Florida Air Tours, we are passionate about providing unique and authentic sightseeing & aerobatic experience to our customers. Our aerobatics are very graceful so this means no jerking motions or being banged around like you'd experience on a roller coaster.

Singe or Double Sequence

  • Single sequence consist of 2 wing overs, 1 loop & 1 roll.

  • Double sequence consist of 4 wing overs, 2 loops & 2 rolls

Parachutes~Per FAA Regulation

FAA regulation 14 CFR § 91.307 requires that each occupant of a civil aircraft wear an approved parachute during intentional maneuvers exceeding a 60-degree bank or 30-degree nose-up/nose-down pitch relative to the horizon.

You are required to wear a parachute per FAA regulations so you must be able fit one properly. This typically requires a minimum height of 5ft and 100lbs. Minimum age for aerobatics is 9.  The pilot will make the ultimate decision on whether the child is old enough to safely wear a parachute.

Not Sure about going inverted? we have other options

Performance Manuevers

If you are not quite certain you want to loop or roll in our open-cockpit biplane, but want to see how maneuverable and sporty she can be, then this is the perfect option for you! Experience non-aerobatic advanced maneuvers such as steep turns, zooms, and chandelles!
